Here, in one of his
earlier
incarnations, is my Master of Sparks, an 83 XS 650K Heritage Special. Since then it's been stretched 1.5 ", I've fitted the 81 cast wheels, new shocks, swing arm bushings, tapered roller steering head bearings, an 80 seat, Mac 2-2 exhaust, 77 carbs (jetted of course) dual disc front brakes, lower 77 handle bars, new paint, 78 standard 3.9 gallon tank, 79 speedo, large fly screen, and halogen head lamp. Next a 750 kit and round slide carbs, as soon as money permits ! |

Here's the 75 my friend
Bill and I
picked up. He was going to keep it but when the charging
rotor went bad he decided to give it to me. Of course I paid him for the work he had done to it, like polish, paint, tires, cleaning etc.. It's the strongest running XS I've ever seen and we picked it up for $50. It did look a mess though when we first saw it. It's been worth every penny. |
| Here's a pic of my 77. I gave Royce Nelligan a trade in allowance of $100 towards an 81 I was selling. It was rough, rusty and the float on one carb had a hole in it, which is probably why it hadn't run in many years. Compression was low 70/90 but treating it to some running has brought it back to 150/150, lucky I guess ! |
